Lorenzo Gomez has an BA in Fine Art Photography from California State University at Long Beach. He has been shooting men, particularly Latin men, for over two decades. He started out shooting men in the 80's working on his own Latin men calendar called Bravo.
Since then Lorenzo has shot numerous calendars for 10% Productions/Village Lighthouse, again specializing in Latin Men to great success. (See below.) His first book Dios Latino (Latin Gods) has sold out and gone out of print becoming a hot collector's item. He most recent book Ironmen has just been published. Both books feature gorgeous men from throughout out Latin America.
Lorenzo 's work has appeared on over a hundred magazine covers, ads, posters, cards and billboards. His work has also been featured in gallery shows and movies. His greatest strength is his ability to blend eye catching composition and classic lighting, creating images that leave unforgettable impressions on the viewer. Lorenzo is native to Californian, having grown up in Whittier. He supported himself through high school and college as a box boy at an independent super market where fate brought him together with his first boyfriend, Rick Rodriguez. After 31 years together, Lorenzo and Rick are still together, living in Whittier with their three dogs. Rick is also his assistant on Lorenzo's shoots, using his skills as a make-up artist and lighting technician.
Lorenzo is currently on work on several projects, including future photography books and a documentary, but he is usually available for assignments.
