For our tuxedos, we have Friar Tux Shop on La Cienega in Beverly Hills (see below for details). The tuxedos we have selected for the ceremony party and our fathers are basic black. The ceremony party will be wearing silver vests and silver (straight) ties and the fathers are wearing black vests with black (straight) ties. Everyone be getting a rented white tuxedo shirts (with straight collars), but everyone is welcome to wear their own white shirt if they wish. Everyone is to provide their own shoes. (No rented patent leather shoes for us!) We are mailing everyone a fitting card that they need to complete and mail back to Friar Tux as indicated on the card. Folks in LA can go to any Friar Tux shop for the fitting, and folks from out of town can go to any tuxedo shop to get a complementary fitting. The tuxes will be available for fitting/pick-up on Thursday between 3pm and 8pm on Thursday, December 30th (or at the latest on Friday morning before the family dinner, if necessary). We can arrange for pick up of any tuxedo that required further alterations and have it delivered to the Omni Hotel prior to the ceremony on Saturday. | Wedding Party Dinner | ||||
| On December 31, 2004, a dinner and reception will be held for the "wedding" party, family members, close friends and out-of-town guests (by invitation only). It will be a casual event held during the afternoon (1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) at the home of Carol Anderson & Judith Shackelford, 4988 Read Road, Thousand Oaks, CA 93021. (A complementary shuttle from the Omni Hotel will be available, but driving directions from the hotel can be provided as needed.) | ||||
