Name: Christopher Erdman From: Vancouver, Washington Connection: Although he is bigger and has less hair than Jeffrey, Chris is Jeffrey's little brother. Jeffrey pretty much tormented Chris during their childhood together, and now Chris is spending his entire adult life getting Jeffrey back. After spending his high school years in Germany, he followed Jeffrey to the University of Washington and developed a liking and skill for computer sciences. He currently works with attorneys at Electronic Evidence Discovery Inc., a firm that specializes in electronic data discovery for law firms and corporations. Chris lives in Bellevue, Washington with his wife, Grace, and their two young daughters, Tate Victoria and Avery Grace. Turn Ons: Scuba, pizza & beer, power tools (not usually at the same time) Turn Offs: Attorneys, suits, hot weather Favorite Line: "It's okay, I can talk. I'm at work." |
Name: Charles Hughes From: Hampton, Arkansas Connection: Charles and Solomon have been friends since they were introduced by a mutual acquaintance soon after Solomon moved to Los Angeles in 1990. In fact, Charles was Solomon's first significant contact in Los Angeles and he quickly became an invaluable ally and mentor as he introduced Solomon into Los Angeles society. Charles - who has the annoying habit of always doing the right thing - is known as the moral center of the "Three Musketeers." He is also a clairvoyant who possesses the "inner eye." Charles lives in Los Angeles with his roommate, Jim (see below), and their dog Bebe. Turn Ons: Camping, fishing and the perfect martini Turn Offs: Rude people, bland food and vermouth Favorite Line: "It's time to cut loose!" |
Name: Dominic Stedman From: Bothell, Washington Connection: Jeffrey and Dominic are best friends. They met while Dominic was working at the Safeway grocery across the street from the apartment Jeffrey shared with Miles and two other bachelors atop Capital Hill (Seattle's gay mecca). Eventually, Dominic joined the happy group until Jeffrey and Dominic moved out to share their own apartment. Through the years since, Jeffrey and Dominic have shared many trials and tribulations as well as many happy times together, even though they often lived in separate states. Last year, Dominic moved to Los Angeles to be closer to Jeffrey (and to enjoy the sunny weather). Turn Ons: Home decorating, crafts, drawing Turn Offs: Obsessive people, people who lie, people who only want to get into your pants (pretty much everyone he has met in Los Angeles) Favorite Line: "Do you use iodized salt in that?" |
Name: Ira Goldklang From: Queens, New York Connection: Ira and Solomon have been friends since their first year of law school at Penn where Ira blossomed into the social butterfly he is today. Coincidentally, they both moved to sunny Los Angeles to begin their legal careers after graduating. You can imagine their surprise when they found themselves working in the same building. Thankfully, they worked at different law firms! Ira still lives in Los Angeles with his beautiful wife, Joelle, and their two children, Thelma and Louise. Turn Ons: Getting frequent flier miles, Burger King and TRS 80s. Turn Offs: Soda with ice, shopping and driving. Or worse, drinking soda with ice while driving to go shopping! Favorite Line: “No!” |
Name: Julie Pearson From: St. Louis, Missouri Connection: Julie and Jeffrey met in law school. She was the annoying girl who sat near Jeffrey and his friends in class and seemed to know the answer to everything. But, since she was smart, and Jeffrey and his friends didn't like to study hard, they asked Julie to join their study group. The four soon became good friends and learned to love and appreciate one another for their uniqueness. Julie and Jeffrey have remained close friends ever since their law school days, occasionally serving as each other's date for various outings that their own partners were unable or unwilling to go on. Julie now works with Jeffrey at Bennett & Erdman and lives in South Pasadena, California with her husband, Keith, and their two beautiful daughters, Madison and Camryn. Turn Ons: Chocolate, men in tuxedos, and fast cars and boats. Turn Offs: Most vegetables (especially broccoli), stupid people Favorite Line: "What is wrong with you?!" |
Name: Jim Williams From: New Orleans, Louisiana Connection: Jim, known as the ultimate hedonist, is an original member of the "Three Musketeers" and the "Study Gang." Like Charles, Jim and Solomon met shortly after Solomon's arrival in Los Angeles in 1990. Over the years, Jim, who is also known for his boundless generosity, has served, at various times, as advisor, counselor and role model, not just to Solomon, but to hundreds of impressionable, young starlets. Jim lives in Los Angeles with his roommate Charles, their dog Bebe, and hundreds of assorted dolls. Turn Ons: Walking through the fields of glory, discount shopping and old movies Turn Offs: Pillow princes, full price, selfish people Favorite Line: "Life is too short..." |
Name: Miles Johnson From: Federal Way, Washington Connection: Miles and Jeffrey met when they both were still in high school. After Jeffrey moved to Seattle to begin college, Miles and his family became a surrogate family for Jeffrey. They negotiated the complicated byways of young adulthood together, sometimes as roommates and always as drinking buddies. Now, Miles shares a home in the Greenlake area of Seattle with his partner, John, and their two cats. Miles owns and operates a flower and garden shop in Seattle called, Fiori Floral and Garden (see website at www.fiorifloralandgarden.com). Turn Ons: Garden design, potted plants Turn Offs: Retail Favorite Line: "What is your budget?" |
Name: Steve Oxman From: Glen Ridge, New Jersey Connection: Steve is Solomon's oldest friend. In fact, the two lads' history together stretches back over 20 years to their days at Brandeis University. At Brandeis, Steve was a big theater jock and Solomon was king of Cholmondeley's. Like Jeffrey and Miles, Steve and Solomon were also roommates and drinking buddies at one point in time. In addition to being intimately acquainted with Tom Cruise, Steve is also a highly accomplished drama critic. Steve, who left sunny Los Angeles and moved to Philadelphia for love, lives in that City of Brotherly Love with his partner, Jason, a 3L at Temple Law School and their dog, Portnoy. Turn Ons: Good food, good scotch, the theater Turn Offs: Flying coach, bad service, stupid people Favorite Line: "Why would I want to do that?" |
